We’re excited to welcome The Milk Stand to Lye Cross Farm Shop, now open after moving from Yew Tree Farm!

Our milk dispenser serves fresh milk and delicious milkshakes in the following flavours:

• Vanilla
• Chocolate
• Strawberry
• Banana
• Crème Egg
• Rhubarb & Custard

Right next to it, you’ll also find a vending machine packed with snacks, treats and of course… Lye Cross Farm cheese! 🧀

Both machines are open 24/7, so whenever you’re passing by, stop for a milkshake, a snack, and some cheese.

Packing Line Operator.

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Line Operator to join our cheese production team. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role within a high-care food manufacturing environment, requiring strong attention to detail and a commitment to food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating and monitoring the production line to ensure efficient packing cheese product.
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet company and customer standards.
• Maintaining high levels of hygiene and cleanliness in line with food safety requirements.
• Identifying and resolving minor production issues and escalating where necessary.
• Accurately completing production and quality records.
• Working as part of a team to achieve daily production targets.
• Adhering to all health & safety and company procedures.
• Ensuring accurate timekeeping, including clocking in/out correct.      
• Carrying out any reasonable task as instructed by a supervisor or Manager, in line with operational needs.

Skills & Experience

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-care environment.
• Good hand and eye coordination.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to problem-solve.
• Previous high-care or food production experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate desirable (training can be provided).
• Good level of written and spoken English.

Physical Requirements

• Good physical health with the ability to stand and work for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a non- chilled & chilled food production environment.

Working Schedule & Location

• Tuesday — Friday: 0600 hrs – 1600 hrs.
• In person: Lye Cross Farm, Redhill, Bristol, BS40 5RH.
