Lye Cross Farm are exhibiting at Biofach this week! For the fifth consecutive year, members of the Lye Cross Farm export team are in Germany ready to talk all things organic with customers old and new. Come and visit us in Hall 4, Stand 337 for some cheese and a chat!
We are also using this opportunity to launch our new look website, which has had a complete overhaul, as has our trade stand. Hopefully our brand new, eye-catching look generates plenty of interest!
Every year at Lye Cross Farm our cheese is carefully selected and entered into competitions up and down the country. 2016 was no different, and we were able to achieve a grand total of 19 awards from 7 different competitions, including the British Cheese Awards and the International Cheese Awards. We were excited to receive the Business Leader magazine’s 2016 award for Export and International Business in Bristol last week. As recipients of this award, we have demonstrated significant and sustained international growth, as well as a clear understanding of overseas markets. It is great for Lye Cross Farm to have this recognition for all the efforts that everybody puts in here and with our partners to achieve international success.

We are pleased to announce John Alvis was presented with the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers’ Princess Royal Award by Her Royal Highness at Buckingham Palace on Thursday 3 March 2016.
The honour was made for his outstanding services to the UK dairy industry. Both John and Pauline Alvis went to Buckingham Palace to meet Princess Anne.
RABDF chairman, Mike King said: “John Alvis has made an enormous contribution to the dairy sector for over 50 years, he is highly respected and a great exemplar. John has always been ahead of the curve pioneering farming practices, whilst at the same time he has built a prestigious cheese brand both in the UK and international marketplace. His huge passion for the industry is reflected in his commitment to the next generation working with schools and the local community. Above all, John is always willing to engage. I believe he is a worthy winner of this award.”
