On Friday 26th July, we will once again be in attendance at Tout’s Fest! The event is being held at The Orchard, Tout’s Cleeve, BS49 4NR.

This year marks the third instalment of the event, building on the great success of previous years. This FREE to attend event is bigger and better than ever before, and is perfect for friends and families to sample delicious food and drinks, listen to local music, or have a drink from the outside bar!

At our Lye Cross Farm stool, you’ll be able to find the following from our Lye Cross Farm Conventional range:

  • Mild Cheddar
  • Mature Cheddar
  • Vintage Cheddar
  • Mature Grated Cheddar
  • Butter

We have some great cheese to compliment other delights on offer during the Fest!

The event is running from 12pm – 4pm so mark it in your calendars and make sure you don’t miss out!

Charity Football Tournament!

Charity Football Tournament!

Yesterday we were honoured to be invited to take part in a Charity Football Tournament hosted by Abatec Recruitment.

Our Lye Cross Farm Team was compiled of a group of players from different parts of the business.

The funds raised were donated to Unbroken – a charity in Liviv, Ukraine, which supports orphans and soldiers who have lost their limbs during the current conflict. The event was competitive, of high standards, and played in good spirits!

A great tournament, a great cause, a great time had by all – we cannot wait to do it again.

Farmhouse Mature Cheddar Wins Bronze!

Farmhouse Mature Cheddar Wins Bronze!

We are delighted to share the news that our Lye Cross Farm Farmhouse Mature Cheddar Cheese won Bronze at the International Cheese & Dairy Awards 2024.

The criteria for this award included:

  • The cheese needs to be matured for more than 12 months.
  • A percentage of the milk used in the manufacture process must be produced at the exhibitor’s own farm and from their own herd.
  • Must have West Country Farmhouse Cheddar PDO accreditation.

We are pleased and grateful to receive this award, in what was a highly competitive category, giving you more reason to love our cheese!

Well Done Bryony!

Today, members of the Workers Forum were pleased to present Quality Assurance Assistant, Bryony Allen with a hamper full of goodies! The hamper comes as a result of her idea winning the “Ideas Hub” campaign – an initiative set up to encourage employees of the business to present suggestions to improve the way the organisation operates. Bryony’s winning idea was voted for by members of the Workers Forum meeting which took place earlier in the week. The hamper win for Bryony is particularly fitting, as it doubles up as a token of appreciation for the amount of dedication she puts into her work, and the unwavering support she offers her colleagues every day. We look forward to implementing the idea going forward.

Lye Cross Farm in Spain!

This month, the British Ambassador’s Residence in Madrid hosted the British Chamber of Commerce in Spain’s Spring Cocktail Party and we were delighted to be part of it!

The event consisted of an evening of speeches and networking, with talks from the British Ambassador to Spain, Hugh Elliot, and the Director of the British Chamber, Eva Prada. Our Lye Cross Farm cheese was presented by one of our many highly valued partners, skilfully led by two members of their Purchase Department and Head of Sales Department. We are extremely grateful to have contributed to this highly successful event which saw the turnout of 250 guests, and we look forward to continuing our strong partnership going forward.
