Earlier this month we were fortunate to be included in a wine, meat and cheese tasting event hosted by Jill Morris, HM ambassador in Rome. Amongst other guests were HM The Prince of Wales and HRH The Duchess of Cornwall.
The event was designed to promote PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) and PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) food produced here in the West Country. Our Cheddar Cheese holds PDO status and it was an honour for us to be included.

Lye Cross Farm are exhibiting at Biofach this week! For the fifth consecutive year, members of the Lye Cross Farm export team are in Germany ready to talk all things organic with customers old and new. Come and visit us in Hall 4, Stand 337 for some cheese and a chat!
We are also using this opportunity to launch our new look website, which has had a complete overhaul, as has our trade stand. Hopefully our brand new, eye-catching look generates plenty of interest!

Every year at Lye Cross Farm our cheese is carefully selected and entered into competitions up and down the country. 2016 was no different, and we were able to achieve a grand total of 19 awards from 7 different competitions, including the British Cheese Awards and the International Cheese Awards. We were excited to receive the Business Leader magazine’s 2016 award for Export and International Business in Bristol last week. As recipients of this award, we have demonstrated significant and sustained international growth, as well as a clear understanding of overseas markets. It is great for Lye Cross Farm to have this recognition for all the efforts that everybody puts in here and with our partners to achieve international success.
